Eduardo Camavinga extends Real Madrid contract until 2029

Eduardo Camavinga has become the latest Real Madrid player to commit their future to the club, signing a new contract until at least the summer of 2029.

The 20-year-old midfielder has already made 114 appearances for the Spanish giants, winning six trophies, including the UEFA Champions League, La Liga and the Club World Cup.

Camavinga, who played a part in France’s run to the World Cup final last year, moved to Real from Rennes in 2021.

He joins team-mates Vinicius Junior, Eder Militao and Rodrygo in signing new deals, as Real build a team focused on young talent including Jude Bellingham and international team-mate Aurelien Tchouameni.

According to The Athletic, Camavinga’s salary will significantly increase and the new terms will include a release clause of €1bn.

He has played 17 games for club and country so far this summer, helping Real to second currently in La Liga, two points behind surprise leaders Girona. Camavinga could feature in Wednesday's Champions League game with Braga, live on TNT Sports.

The new contract officially expires on 30 June 2029.
