Manchester United versus Galatasaray LIVE: crucial clash in Champions League Group A

Manchester United have lost their second game in a row in the Champions League, humbled by a Galatasaray side that won a frenetic match 3-2 at Old Trafford.

In a lively first half Rasmus Hojlund put United ahead with a bullet header from a Marcus Rashford cross. The visitors were level just six minutes later, when Wilfried Zaha overpowered Diogo Dalot to scuff a loose ball past Andre Onana.

A brilliant run and finish from Hojulnd restored United’s lead, only for an equally fine finish from Kerem Akturkoglu to pull Galatasaray level a few minutes later.

A mistake from Andre Onana forced Casemiro into conceding a penalty. Casemiro was red carded, and Mauro Icardi smashed his penalty wide of the post. Icardi redeemed himself minutes later, with a cool finish over Onana to seal a memorable victory for Galatasaray.

Manchester United face an away trip to FC Copenhagen on the next match day, whilst Galatasaray will host Bayern Munich.

Bayern held on to win in Copenhagen, and lead the group ahead of Galatasaray.

Another defensive mistake costs United dearly in the Champions League. Icardi might have missed the penalty, but United fell apart with ten men and will now be without Casemiro for the next match.

That's two defeats in two now for United, with seven goals conceded. Galatasaray were worthy winners tonight, and are now 15 games unbeaten in all competitions this season. Their fans, as you can imagine, are absolutely bouncing in Old Trafford. As for United, the problems pile up; they've got an awful lot to work on, and they fell to pieces in that last 20 minutes and change.

Everyone goes up, but Galatasaray clear. The final whistle goes soon after, and it's a famous win for the visitors!

United, a man light, are coughing it up cheaply here. There are groans around Old Trafford, and this result won't go down well if it holds.

A deflected shot from Martial is well saved by Muslera, but it's soon revealed that Martial was offside.

Yilmaz finds Boey breaking own the right. Boey crosses low to the middle, where Icardi smashes a half-volley just wide of the near post.

That's disappointing again from Fernandes. There will be at least seven more minutes here, we find out.

United are all over the shop at the back! A simple exchange of passes puts Boey through, and his shot is deflected over by Dalot for a corner.

Redemption for Icardi! A header from his own half by Sanchez somehow runs all the way through to Icardi, who is clean through and played onside by Amrabat. Icardi steadies himself and dinks a lovely finish over Onana for the lead.

He muscles through two on the edge of the area, and has a clean look at goal. This is equally brilliant though - Bardakci flies across to block the ball behind for a corner.

Whatever next - Icardi drags his penalty wide of the post! This is an absolutely wild game.

Oh my, what an error here by Onana. A sloppy pass out of his own area is intercepted by subsititute Mertens, who is in on goal. Casemiro slides in to stop the shot, and brings down Mertens; Casemiro is sent off, and Galatasaray could go in front here!

Garnacho fizzes a dangerous low cross into the area, and Icardi gets a toe ahead of the lurking Hojlund to concede a corner. It's looped to the back post, and Casemiro heads it over from six yards out.
