Norwich bag Marshall

Marshall spent a successful season with the Canaries last year before sustaining a campaign-ending ankle injury during an FA Cup tie against Chelsea in February. Nonetheless, Canaries boss Peter Grant had seen enough of the Scotsman to offer him a longer-term deal.

Grant said: "I'm delighted to be bringing a goalkeeper of David's calibre to the club.

"There had been a lot of discussion between Celtic and ourselves and at one stage we didn't think it was going to happen.

"But he is a quality addition in a position which can earn you 10 or 15 points in a season."
