Birmingham release six

Darren Ambrose, Wade Elliott, Peter Lovenkrands, Hayden Mullins, Brian Howard and Aaron Martin will all leave St Andrew's when their contracts expire this summer.

Boss Lee Clark told the club's official website: "We'd like to thank those players departing for their service to the football club and wish each one well for the next stage of their careers."

Clark is set to offer defender Will Packwood a new contract while skipper Paul Robinson and midfielder Olly Lee have had one-year extensions taken up.

The club are set to hold talks with striker Nikola Zigic and winger Chris Burke over their future.
