Simeone has his hands in his pockets and his head slumped. He looks properly deflated and I suppose you can't really blame him. His team has been beaten quite convincingly over the two legs and their lack of depth has been found out.

What a chance for Atletico Madrid! The corner is swung into the box, finding Suarez unmarked eight yards out from goal. But somehow he manages to put his header by the post. He should have found the net!

Koke winds up a shot from just outside the box, but his effort takes a deflection off Varane and flashes just past the post. That could have gone anywhere.

This will be a third straight defeat for Atletico Madrid in all competitions. Considering they had lost just once before then, that could constitute a collapse, as harsh as it may seem to call it that.

The position Isco is playing is very interesting. He has been given freedom to float all over the pitch by Ancelotti tonight. Is that what they call a 'false nine'? He's playing all across the front three, allowing Bale and Ronaldo to interchange.

Atletico have shown a degree of resistance in this second half, playing some decent stuff in and around the midfield. However, they're lacking creativity and cutting edge in the final third.

So unless Barcelona collapse tomorrow night we will have an El Clasico Copa Del Rey final. The last time we had one of those was in 2011, when Ronaldo scored in extra time to give Los Blancos the win.

It's not Alonso who comes off but his midfield partner Modric instead. The Croatian has been very impressive for Real Madrid since the turn of the year and deserves a break in these final 20 minutes or so.
