Barcelona might be playing a second string side tonight, but they are still proving too much for Elche to handle. This has been a very comfortable half for the Catalan giants.

Pasalic surges through the middle of the pitch, but before he can make it into a shooting position Montoya toes it away from the Elche midfielder. But at least he showed some ambition.

Elche really haven't posed much of a threat on the attack here. Herrera has looked dangerous in sporadic spots, but the home side are struggling to get the ball as far as the final third.

He brings something entirely different to Barcelona's attacking options. He's more direct than any other player they have, maybe with the exception of Sandro, who isn't involved tonight.

That was unlucky from Traore. The striker dribbles past three Elche players, throwing in a few flicks and tricks for good measure. But he drags his shot wide of the near post. Good play though.

The same goes for Munir, who after bursting on to the scene at the start of the season has now stagnated. He needs to find a goal to get his confidence back and find a positive groove.

Traore has the pace to get in behind this Elche backline, which has shown itself to be rather static at times tonight. I'd like to see the youngster test them more often with his speed.

In fact, that has been a problem for Barcelona all the way through this game. They have kept the ball well and worked it around the final third, but their final pass or product has let them down.

Montoya is enjoying himself down the right side. Elche are affording him plenty of space, and the right-back is making the most of it. But he's yet to find the right final pass when getting forward.

Bartra and Mathieu have barely been troubled tonight, but if there is one Elche player that looks like he might pose a threat, it's Herrera, who at least has some pace on the turn.

Tow quickfire bookings for Elche, with their players starting to look slightly frustrated. It's coming out in their tackles on the Barcelona players, which have been cynical to say the least.

Elche come away on the counter attack! Herrera breaks in behind the Barca defence and tries to find his teammate Coro inside the box, but his sqaured pass is cut out before it reaches the forward.
