That was excellent from Iniesta. He turns on the ball, evading the tackle of two Atletico players, making them look foolish in the process. Although he has been rather quiet for Barca tonight.

Suarez surges forward and plays a clipped cross to the back post, where Neymar is straining to make a connection. But the Brazilian is penalised for a push into the back of Juanfran.

Of course, Atletico Madrid would presumably be quite happy with a goalless draw to take into the second leg. The introduction of Mandzukic should allow them to ease the pressure on their defence a bit more.

That was an opportunity to create something for Barcelona. Juanfran's mistake allows Alba to break in behind him, but his cross into the penalty area is headed away firmly by Godin.

Barcelona were the better side in the first half, with Suarez in paticular missing chances to put the home side ahead. Will we see a more open contest in this second half? Hope so.

So Simeone has hooked Torres at the break, replacing him with Mandzukic. The Croatian will provide more of a presence up front, and will surely be more effective in holding up the ball.

HALF TIME Barcelona 0-0 Atletico Madrid. Chances have been at a premium for both sides, but the best one undoubtedly fell to Suarez, who somehow managed to shoot over from six yards.

Neymar tries to dribble his way through the Atletico Madrid backline, eventually passing to Iniesta, who plays the one-two. But the Barcelona midfielder was offside and the flag is raised.

So close to being clean through on goal! Torres breaks free of the last defender but tries to find Griezmann with a reverse pass. His pass though clips the heels of Pique and Barca survive.

Enrique has made an effort to move Rakitic closer to the edge of the box in recent weeks, and with passes like that you can see why. He's such a threat as a playmaker.

Wonderful play from Rakitic to release Suarez through on goal. He took the ball first time on the volley and found his teammate in a very tight space. Pass of the season so far perhaps?

Suarez should have scored! Rakitic plays a delightful volleyed pass through to the former Liverpool striker, but he allows the ball to bounce and skews his effort over the crossbar.

If only he was a few inches taller! A cross is teased into the penalty area from the left wing, but Griezmann can only direct his header over the bar after rising highest from eight yards.

Was that really an advantage for Barcelona? Suarez is fouled on the edge of the box, but the referee plays on with Messi crossing into the box from the left. Bet they would have rathered the freekick.

Griezmann looked like the better option. Koke comes surging forward, but instead of playing it to the right opts to pass to Torres, who sees his shot at the near post blocked by Pique.

Suarez is just struggling to click with his attacking teammates at the moment. There have been a few slack moments, and a few loose passes as he tries to link up with Messi and Neymar.
