FULL-TIME: Barcelona 4-1 Espanyol

Barcelona aren't giving Espanyol anything tonight. Even at this late stage of the match, with a two-man advantage, they are pressing as hard as they have all night. Stupendous stuff.

Should that have been a corner kick? Neymar gets to the byline and looks to find a way past two Espanol defenders. The ball runs out, but the Brazilian believes he should have had a corner.

RAKITIC TAKES AIM! The Croatian midfielder angles a shot at goal from the edge of the Espanyol penalty area, but he can only find the side of Lopez's netting. Decent shot.

Four minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 4 (87 mins - Neymar) Espanyol 1. What an outstanding goal that is! Messi clips a pass over the top for Neymar, who finishes on the full volley past Lopez. What a take from the Brazilian!

This is relentless from Barcelona now. Espanyol simply have nowhere to go whenever they do win the ball. With nine men there are no options anywhere on the pitch. Desperate.

Neymar is in full-showboating mode now. This time he does Lopez all ends up, knocking the ball through his legs and collecting on the other side. He needs to watching out for reckless tackles though!

VIDAL'S EYES MUST HAVE LIT UP THERE! Suarez's pass across the face of goal can't find a teammate, with Vidal shooting from a tight angle at the back post. But his effort is blocked.

HOW DID SUAREZ MISS? Iniesta's corner kick to the back post beat the goalkeeper, finding the striker completely free. But from just five yards out he managed to head into the side netting!

Now Messi appears to be slapped around the head by Roco, but the referee doesn't spot it and takes the easy option - booking both players. This has gotten very ill-temepered.

YELLOW CARDS: Lionel Messi (Barcelona) and Enzo Roco (Espanyol).

THIS IS GETTING UGLY! Jordan is now in the face of Neymar after the Brazilian tried some showboating. Espanyol are doing their best to get this match abandoned! This is ridiculous now.

SENT OFF! Pape Diop (Espanyol). The away side have now been reduced to nine men! Diop seemed to say something to Suarez, and the referee has shown the midfielder a straight red!

SUAREZ IS DENIED ONCE AGAIN! Neymar bursts to the byline, squaring for Suarez - who makes the most of a poor defensive touch to shoot at the near post. Lopez makes the stop.

Pique is absolutely furious with the referee for that decision. Alvarez goes down holding his face, despite no contact made with him by the Barcelona centre-back. The ref buys it, though.

YELLOW CARD: Gerard Pique (Barcelona)

SENT OFF! Hernan Perez (Espanyol). The away side have been reduced to 10 men, with Perez shown a second yellow card for a late tackle on Alba down the left wing. Foolish.

Vidal is really enjoying himself. He's actually struggling to keep the grin off his face as he's running. Of course, he's a native Catalan and Barcelona are his boyhood club.

Espanyol's passing game has completely deserted them in this second half. It's not even as if Barcelona's pressing game has been cranked up that much, or anything. Panicking.

Barcelona subs: Dani Alves and Arda Turan OFF, Aleix Vidal and Ivan Rakitic ON.

NEYMAR'S FREEKICK IS PUNCHED CLEAR! The Brazilian got his set-piece effort on target, but Lopez is on hand to make sure he clears the danger for the away team.

Messi is really pumped for this one tonight. He was one of the players who was viewed to have been treated roughly at the weekend, and that has perhaps given him some added motivation.

TURAN GETS THE SHOT AWAY! The Turkish international has the chance to unleash an effort at goal, but the angle was tight for him and Lopez can beat away the powerful drive.

HOW DIDN'T MESSI ADD ANOTHER! The Argentine seemed to have the simple task of turning home a cross from close range, but he couldn't make the right contact. Espanyol survive!

NOT TOO FAR AWAY FROM MESSI! The number 10 drives at the opposition defence and curls a left-footed shot towards goal, but he could only send it past the far post. Dangerous.

Espanyol sub: Abraham Gonzalez OFF, Burgui ON.

This Barcelona team is playing some lovely stuff at the moment. They really are at the top of their game right now, even after the disappointing draw in the league at the weekend.

YELLOW CARD: Hernan Perez (Espanyol)

What a finish from Suarez that would have been! The flag is up against the former Liverpool striker, but he loops a great shot over Lopez in the Espanyol goal anyway. Wooft!

Iniesta has been in excellent form this evening. He's trying to up the tempo of Barcelona's play every time he receives the ball, with Espanyol struggling to keep tabs on the runners.

That's a terrible decision from the linesman on the far side. Suarez found Neymar out left in loads of space, but the flag is wrongly raised. Roco was keeping him onside by about three yards!

Neymar is starting to find some space and time down the left side. The Brazilian has been excellent in glimpses this evening, but it could be in this second half that he imposes himself.

Messi is having words with the referee. The Argentine isn't happy with the Espanyol goalkeeper, Lopez, who appeared to stand on the number 10 when the ball was long gone.

Barcelona could kill off this tie in the first leg. That's the kind of form they are in at the moment, and you get the sense that Espanyol are hanging on a bit. It doesn't bode well for them.

YELLOW CARD: Pape Diop (Espanyol)

Things are really clicking for Barcelona now. They are finding each other in the final third, and Turan has slotted in rather seamlessly. He already looks an important part of this team.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 3 (50 mins - Gerard Pique) Espanyol 1. And there's the third goal from Barcelona! Iniesta threads through Messi, who squares for Pique inside the six yard box. He has the simple task of finishing from close range.

Barcelona have started this second half as they finished the first. They are in complete control of the contest, with Espanyol playing with their backs to goal. They just can't get out.

That sub is a big blow to Espanyol too. That means that they are now without their two starting forwards, with Caicedo withdrawn through injury in the first half. Not going well, in that respect.

That's a strange one. Asensio took to the field for the second half, then signalled to bench and was taken off before the kick-off was taken. Did he change his mind as he walked out?

Espanyol sub: Marco Asensio OFF, Salva Sevilla ON.

The second half is under way at the Camp Nou! Barcelona lead 2-1 against their city rivals Espanyol.

What did you make of the first half at the Camp Nou? Can Espanyol find a way back into this match? Or should they sit on what they have, taking an away goal into the second leg? Tweet me!

HALF-TIME: Barcelona 2-1 Espanyol. Messi's freekick effort is the difference between the sides at the break, and what an effort it was! Barcelona have responded well to going behind early in the match.

YELLOW CARD: Pau Lopez (Espanyol)

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 2 (44 mins - Lionel Messi) Espanyol 1. What an astonishing goal! Wow, wow, wow! That's why he's the best in the world! He smashes a freekick strike from 25 yards into the net off the underside of the bar!

Neymar is fuming with the referee! He has been on the end of a few rough tackles from the opposition, and yet he's getting nothing. The Brazilian needs some protection from the officials.

Turns out the treatment didn't work too much after all. Caicedo breaks down on the turf once again, and Espanyol make the change... finally. On comes Jordan to replace the goalscorer.

Espanyol sub: Felipe Caicedo OFF, Joan Jordan ON.

In fact, the wind is really strong at the Camp Nou. It's making long passes difficult for the players on the pitch, and this time Neymar gets a ball caught in it. The ball flies out of range.

For the first time this evening, Iniesta plays a poor pass. Although the wind did seem to carry it a bit. Nonetheless, the attacking move breaks down because of the loose pass.

Well, whatever treatment was implemented on Caicedo on the touchline seems to have worked. The striker is back on the Camp Nou pitch, although he seems to be moving gingerly.

Barcelona are trying to make the most of their man advantage at the moment. Caicedo is still on the touchline, and so the home side are taking freekicks quickly - trying to get things rolling.

This could be an issue for Espanyol. Caicedo is down on the turf, and indeed it looks like the striker will have to come off. All that after he scored an excellent opener for the away side.

YELLOW CARD: Neymar (Barcelona)

Espanyol are now struggling to take the ball outside their own penalty area. Barcelona are camped on the 18-yard mark, pressing and probing their way at the opposition defence.

Enrique is pushing his side forward from the touchline. He quite clearly wants them to take the lead before the break. They have momentum at the moment, he wants to make the most of that.

NEYMAR JUST COULDN'T MAKE THE CONTACT! Turan plays the ball out to Messi, who squares a pass across the penalty box - but the Brazilian was slightly on his heels.

SHEER MAGIC FROM INIESTA! The midfielder is in the groove tonight, this time beating his man with two instant touches - making the Espanyol player look a bit foolish. The pass wasn't bad either.

Barcelona have cranked up the tempo of their play in the last few minutes, with Espanyol struggling to cope with what is being thrown at them by the European champions.

Yeah, Espanyol certainly got away with one a few moments ago. Lopez caught a load of Neymar's calf - he was nowhere near the ball. That should have been a penalty kick to the hosts.

LOUD SHOUTS FOR A BARCELONA PENALTY! Neymar goes down under the challenge of Lopez inside the box, but the referee shakes his head. There was certainly contact!

NEYMAR SHOOTS ACROSS GOAL! Iniesta's pass sets up the Brazilian forward for a shot inside the penalty area, but the angle is tight for him and he can only shoot past the target.

Having said that, Espanyol's counter attacking goal must serve as a warning to Barcelona. They have threat on the break, and the home side must tighten up to prevent it from happening again.

There was a suggestion at the weekend that Barcelona had hit something of a wall, but they look full of verve and energy this evening. They were somewhat unfortunate to lose that goal.

Of course, Turan is not the only player who has had to wait six months for his debut at Barcelona. Aleix Vidal signed from Sevilla in the summer, and still hasn't had the chance to take to the field for his new club.

TER STEGEN NEEDED TO MAKE THAT SAVE! I'm not sure if that's what he intended, but Abraham's freekick was dipping under the bar - with the Barcelona keeper tipping over the bar.

Barcelona have been in control of this game since the very first minute, and so Espanyol must consider their goal something of a bonus. It gives them something to cling on to for the second leg.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 1 (13 mins - Lionel Messi) Espanyol 1. There's the equaliser, and it didn't take Barcelona long to find it! Iniesta picks out Messi, and the number 10 picks his spot to restore parity. Good finish.

It was Alves who lost the ball on the halfway line, which gave Asensio possession for the counter attack that resulted in Caicedo's opener. The Brazilian is better than that!

YELLOW CARD: Abraham Gonzalez (Espanyol)

MESSI SHOULD HAVE SCORED! The Argentine plays a wonderful clipped one-two with Neymar, but his left-footed shot is saved well by Lopez in the Espanyol goal. Great chance.

Well, that was unexpected. Espanyol have been camped deep inside their own half for much of the match. That was perhaps the fist time they have even been in the opposition box!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona 0 Espanyol 1 (10 mins - Felip Caicedo). That goal has come completely against the run of play! Espanyol hit Barcelona on the attack, and Caicedo finishes low in the bottom corner after a surge forward by Asensio.

NEYMAR COULDN'T FORCE IT HOME! Messi does really well to poke through a pass for Neymar, who was in behind the Espanyol defence - but Lopez came off his line to smother the shot.

Some pundits and commentators actually criticised Espanyol for the way they played against Barcelona at the weekend. They felt they were sometimes on the verge of what's legal.

These two teams played on Saturday, with Barcelona forced to settle for a goalless draw at the Cornella. Espanyol did well to hold firm that afternoon - can they do the same again?

TURAN INTO THE ACTION IMMEDIATELY! The Turkish international plays a good ball into Neymar, who takes aim at goal - but a combination of Espanyol defenders make the block.

This is a very strong starting lineup from Luis Enrique. It's actually a little suprising that he has gone so strong, especially with so many games scheduled for the next few weeks.

Of course, the big team news this evening is that Arda Turan is finally making his debut for Barcelona, after joining from Atletico Madrid in the summer. He might actually eat the football.

The match is under way at the Camp Nou! It's Barcelona against Espanyol in the last 16 of the Copa Del Rey.
