Atletico Madrid ease into the next round of the Copa del Rey with minimal fuss. They had simply too much class and quality for Guijuelo over the two legs. Although the third tier side will remember the second half of their trip to the Vicente Calderon with fondness. They kept their dignity after being reduced to 10 men.

Cerci hasn't had such a good time of it since coming on. This time he is bundled off the ball without too much of a fight. That isn't really what Simeone is looking for from his players.

That wasn't too far wide from Carmona. He decided to take aim from the best part of 25 yards, but his strike collected a deflection on its way through and his side have won a corner kick.

Overall, though, Simeone must be happy with the performance of his team in this second leg. Thomas, Correa and Gaitan have all made a case to be first team starters more often.

While few inside the Vicente Calderon coul begrudge Guijuelo their goal, Simeone might be rather upset with his side conceding. They have struggled for clean sheets of late.

GAMEIRO SHOOTS WIDE! Thomas created the chance for the Atletico Madrid striker, but from a tight angle Gameiro could only find the side netting. He'll be disappointed with that.

Guijuelo have equipped themselves very well in this second half with just 10 men. They have kept their composure and they deserve that goal for not folding. It would have been easy to do that.

Disappointing from Cerci. He surged down the right wing and had the opportunity to slot in Gameiro, but he completely overhit his pass and the ball drifted out for a goal kick.

Guijuelo are keeping the ball among themselves at the moment, although they aren't exactly making great progress. About five of their latest passes have been to the goalkeeper Morales.

It was Gaitan and Correa who came off for Atletico Madrid with those last two changes from the bench. They were arguably the two best players on the pitch, although Thomas has played well.

Indeed, on comes Carrasco and he is joined in coming off the bench for Atletico Madrid by Gameiro. An opportunity for the Frenchman to fill his boots.

It looks like Simeone is going to make a couple of changes here. Carrasco is down on the touchline is getting ready to come on, which is somewhat surprising. Is there a need to risk him?
