Ireland finally break into the opponent's half but they fail to trouble Belgium as Hendrick overhits his cross and it's a goal-kick.

Ireland's gameplan has been to sit back and launch the ball to Long when in possession. The Southampton striker is being left too isolated at the moment.

CHANCE! Belgium force a corner, it's whipped in by De Bruyne who finds Alderweireld but the defender's glancing header is just wide.

Hazard finds possession on the flank but his low cross delivery is behind all of his team mates. Ireland launch a counter attack but overhit a pass to Long.

A loose back pass puts Courtois under all kinds of pressure but the goalkeeper reaches the ball just in time as Long chases down.

A hard-hitting but fair tackle from Ward wins the ball back for Ireland just when Belgium were in a threatening position.

A decent move from Belgium as Lukuku holds the ball up and waits for team mates to move forward, he picks out Vertonghen on the flank but the defender can't find space for a cross.

Belgium have made a bright start, playing with real intent in the opening stages, but Ireland holding strong in defence.

De Bruyne finds space inside the penalty area but opts to play the ball wide to Carrasco whose cross is gathered by Randolph.

Patient build-up play from Belgium but there's no way through the Ireland defence as Meunier sees his cross blocked.

Good work from Hazard as he wriggles possession from Coleman before moving forward and finding De Bruyne in the centre of the park. Ireland win the ball back.
