Switzerland - France live updates

France are the only team among the 24 present at this year's Euros to have won all their games in 2016 (six out of six). A seventh win in a row against Switzerland would be their best run since their record 14-game winning streak from March 2003 to February 2004.

This is the third time France have begun a European Championship finals with two wins, after 1984 and 2000. They lifted the trophy on the two previous occasions.

Switzerland have never made it to the knockout stages of the European Championship and even if they lose, four points may well do them. They're so close...

Deschamps on Payet: "Dimitri Payet has worked very hard and he's been rewarded. There are certain players who make a difference, but beyond the individual aspect it is the squad and their mindset that is crucial. It's quite nice what's happening to Payet at the moment – he deserves it."

Didier Deschamps: "I could rotate things. All my players are available, but there are a number of different criteria to consider. I have to pick a team to make sure we secure top spot. That's our aim. We should have more freedom against Switzerland due to their style of play. Playing against an ultra-defensive side is very difficult. Switzerland have a team that like to play football so it might be an open game."

Vladimir Petković, Switzerland coach (via Uefa): "We're not really thinking too much about our 5-2 defeat by France at the World Cup two years ago. We're certainly not looking for revenge. We're focusing on the present – that's all that counts. We want to show France that we can play football just as well as them. Yes, we might get a couple of opportunities from set pieces which we can take advantage of, but we also want to show them that we can play football. I don't think France are 100% calm either. They can still lose first place to us and we are going to do everything to achieve this against the favourites in our group. Maybe the favourites for the European Championship."

Tricky decisions for the respective managers. Swiss striker Haris Seferovic is under threat to be replaced by youngster Breel Embolo after a poor run of form. For Didier Deschamps, the equation should be simple with qualification guaranteed. Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann look likely to start but midfielder N'Golo Kante and striker Olivier Giroud are one booking away from a ban so may not be risked.
