One of Croatia’s biggest problems so far is that they lack any real cutting edge in attack. Mandzukic has retired since the 2018 World Cup and Rebic has had a poor tournament so far.

There's a break in play at the moment as Vlasic receives treatment. The Croatian midfielder clashed heads with McTominay as the two players challenged for the same ball.

Croatia, like Scotland, have just one point from their first two Group D fixtures at Euro 2020 with the 2018 World Cup finalists so far underwhelming at the tournament. Can they make amends? This has been better.

First booking of the match and it's for Lovren who cleaned out Adams.

The Croatia goal...

McGinn on target! The ball is recycled by Scotland with Dykes prodding it out to McGinn 16 yards out, but the Aston Villa midfielder couldn't quite get it out of his feet and the shot is saved!

Big chance for Scotland! A good passing move results in Armstrong playing a wonderful pass to McGinn at the back post, but his header back across couldn't quite find Adams!

MODRIC... tipped over the bar! The Croatian midfielder ran on to a pass and unleashed a strike towards goal. Marshall tips it over, but the officials don't see it. Goal kick is awarded.

Defensively, Clarke won't be happy with the way Croatia were able to score that goal. Perisic should have been challenged in the air. It was too easy for him to knock it down.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Croatia 1 (18 mins - Nikola Vlasic) Scotland 0. The breakthrough and it's gone the way of Croatia! The cross was played to the back post, Perisic got above O'Donnell to knock down and Vlasic was on hand to control and angle a low strike into the back of the net! Bad news for Scotland!

Sharp off his line! Just for a moment there, it seemed that Vlasic was in behind the Scotland defence, but Marshall was very quickly off his line and made the crucial clearance.

Armstrong is in for Gilmour this evening. While the Southampton midfielder tends to play in a more advanced role, he does have some experience of operating in deep for Celtic.
17'
Gilmour was the Man of the Match against England, catching the eye in his role in the centre of the pitch. It’s a huge blow that Scotland won’t have his influence for this match tonight.
16'
However, Scotland were dealt a big blow yesterday when it emerged that Gilmour had tested positive for Covid-19 meaning that he is ruled out of this match and a potential last 16 tie.
15'
Against England, Scotland did a good job of keeping things tight and organised at the back while controlling the ball in the centre of the pitch. They more than earned their point.
14'
Ball into the middle! Good build up play from Scotland sees the pass sprayed out to O'Donnell, but his cross into the box is too close to Livakovic in the Croatia goal. Opportunity.
13'
For the first time in the match, there's a sense that Croatia are starting to control things in the centre of the pitch with Scotland looking to make the most of their counter attack.

What an incredible atmosphere at Hampden. You would never know that there's only 12,000 fans inside the stadium for this one, the level of noise that's coming from the stands!
