Laszlo Kleinheisler tries his luck from range but is unable to live up to his 'Scholes' nickname as his effort trickles tamely towards goal.

SAVE! Terrific double save from Peter Gulacsi as he gets down low to palm away Karim Benzema's effort, before denying Antoine Griezmann on the follow up. The Barcelona man really should have given France the lead.

Benjamin Pavard is the first player to go into the book for a foul on Sallai.

FIVE minutes until kick off! It’s Hungary versus France in the Euro 2020 ‘group of death’, it’s live and it’s next!

Today marks the first time Hungary and France have met at an international tournament since the group stages of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. France ran out 3-0 winners that day, sending Hungary home in the process, and would go on to finish third at the tournament.

France’s star-studded team will be expected to take all three points against a Hungary side ranked 35 places below them in the Fifa world rankings, but defender Raphaël Varane has warned against complacency. "It's going to be a very difficult game played in the heat of the day in a full stadium,” the Real Madrid man said ahead of the fixture. “Our opponents will be playing to stay in the competition. They're a very different prospect to Germany, but they're also very dangerous and very motivated, so we will have to be effective, find their weaknesses and keep our defensive shape.”

Hungary go into today’s fixture against the tournament favourites as huge underdogs, but manager Marco Rossi has called on his players to rise to the occasion. "It’s a great motivation for us; we’re talking about the world champions, the clear favourites, who have a player, Mbappé, who is simply out of this world,” the Hungary boss said ahead of the clash. “We stand before an almost impossible task, but we’re going to give it our best shot.”

France’s bid to unite the European Championship trophy with the World Cup for the second time in their history got off to the perfect start on Tuesday, as a Mats Hummels own goal saw them past Germany. Les Bleus have won their last five against Hungary - a run stretching back to 1978.

After keeping European champions Portugal at bay for the first 84 minutes of their group opener on Tuesday before succumbing to three late goals, there’s no let up for Hungary as they welcome world champions France to the Puskas Arena. The hosts don't have recent history on their side either; you have to go all the way back to October 1971 for the last time Hungary beat France in a competitive fixture. Will it be a busy afternoon for Peter Gulacsi?
13:15
It's just the one change for France too following their 1-0 win over Germany last time out, with Lucas Digne comes into the side in place of Lucas Hernandez at left back. Kingsley Coman is absent from the squad after being granted permission to leave the French camp to attend the birth of his child.
13:10
Hungary make one change from the side that lost 3-0 to Portugal last time out, Gergo Lovrencsics dropping to the bench and Loic Nego coming into the side. Daniel Gazdag is not named among the substitutes and will miss the remainder of the tournament, having withdrawn from the squad through injury earlier this week.
