Isco scored a stunning goal on his first international start as Spain beat Belarus 3-0.
The Real Madrid playmaker stunned the crowd with a pinpoint 25-yard strike before Sergio Busquets doubled the home side's lead a minute later.
And Busquets' Barcelona team-mate Pedro sealed the rout with an emphatic strike in the second half.
The win sees Spain remain second in group C behind surprise leaders Slovakia.
The home side, who were without stars like Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and David Silva, dominated from the start with Pedro spurning a chance after a slick passing move.
But Isco stole the show with his curling effort soon after before Busquets' low strike put the reigning European champions on course for another home victory.
The only chance fashioned by Andrei Zygmantovich's side was Syarhey Balanovich blazing an effort over from 25 yards.
It was a similar story in the second half with Vicente Del Bosque's side grabbing a third with Juanfran setting up Pedro, who fired a curling effort past the keeper.
Paco Alcacer should have increased the lead but his header from close range skimmed the roof of the net before the striker failed to find the target with a volley from eight yards out.
Spain continued to threaten with Pedro rattling the post in the closing stages with a devastating strike as the home side capped off an impressive performance ahead of Tuesday's friendly with world champions Germany.
KEY MOMENTS
7' PEDRO CHANCE! - Pedro with a first-time shot inches wide after a great through ball from Cazorla - he should have scored.
18' GOAL! Spain 1-0 Belarus - What a strike from Isco, a curling effort from outside the area which flies into the top corner. He could not have picked a better spot.
19' GOAL! Spain 2-0 Belarus - Juanfran's cross is not cleared properly and Busquets fires an effort into the corner from the edge of the box.
53' PENALTY SHOUT! - Isco appeals for a penalty claiming his shirt was tugged which prevented him getting on the end of Alba's cross but the ref waves play on.
54' ALCACER CHANCE! - So close from Alcacer. His free header skims the roof of the net after a great ball from Pedro.
55' GOAL! Spain 3-0 Belarus - Great move involving Cazorla and Juanfran to find Pedro, whose curling effort goes beyond the keeper.
84' ALCACER MISS! - Alcacer guides the ball wide from six yards, he should have found the target.
89' WOODWORK! - Stunning effort from Pedro, with a curling effort from an impossible angle that rattles the post.
KEY STATS:
Spain have not lost a qualifier at home since 2006.
The last time the Spanish scored two goals from outside the box in a game was against Venezuela in June 2011.
This win is Vicente Del Bosque's 23rd win from 25 qualifiers at home.
TALKING POINT
Is this team the future for Spain? There were a number of graduates from the Under 21 team playing and led by Isco, they showed some sparkling football at times. Jose Callejon made his debut while Alvaro Morata won his second cap. Coupled with the impressive performances of the more experienced players like Juanfran and Pedro, this was a solid performance. There were a number of star players out like Cesc Fabregas, David Silva and Andres Iniesta, so this line-up gives Del Bosque plenty of food for thought in how to blend the younger players when the senior members of the squad return from injury.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Isco (Spain): The playmaker continued his fine form with Real Madrid with a sparkling display full of tricks and some sublime passing. His end product was not always there but he made his first start for Spain a memorable one with a sensational long-range shot which found the top-corner.
