The final whistle blows, and it is job done for the visitors. Germany got the job done with two goals, from Reus and Muller, late in the first half. It was a deserved win, over to you Ireland and Poland.

More last-ditch defending from the hosts prevents Germany making it 3-0.

Substitute Chanturia becomes the third Georgian player to be booked, following a lunge on Jonas Hector.

Germany are still looking for a third, probing around the Georgia box but the hosts are standing firm.

At the other end, Ozil drags a shot wide.

Georgia suddenly sense their chance but Chanturia is told to get up by Turpin as he tumbles under a challenge 20 yards from goal.

Georgia win a corner, played short to Chanturia, and Schweinsteiger almost diverts the ball into his own net. The resutling corner is sliced behind by Muller.

Germany come close to getting a third as Reus gets in behind but he looks for a pass and Georgia survive.

Reus bends a free kick goalwards from 20 yards but Loria gathers comfortably. The two captains, Kankava and Schweinsteiger, are then both booked following an off-the-ball incident.

Kroos finds Muller in the box but he looks to turn inside Kvirkvelia and the defender wins the battle. Germany keep their attack alive though with Muller rolling the ball across the face of goal.

After Gotze sees his shot blocked, Muller wins a corner. The forward works it short with Kroos, but it comes to nothing.

Kroos tries to find Gotze in the area but Dvali steps in with a good challenge.

Kroos finds Ozil on the left wing, who whips in a dangerous cross that is headed away.

Rudy concedes a corner, Schweinsteiger heads Kenia's original effort clear but the substitute then finds Kankava who wins another corner. The second set piece comes to nothing though.

Levan Kenia is on for Georgia, with the Slavia Prague midfielder replacing Makharadze.

Reus hits the bar for a second time. The Dortmund player arrives at the right time to meet Rudy's centre but his shot thunders against the woodwork.

Muller and Kroos work a short corner for Germany but the latter's cross into the box is wayward and Georgia break.
