Reus controls on the half way line and gives it to Gotze down the line. He is cynically bundled over by Hanley and the Scot is given a yellow card.

Germany almost in again but a low cross to Gotze sees him miscontrol the ball at the near post and Scotland have a goal kick.

CHANCE! Scotland almost draw level as Hutton sprints down the line and gives it to Naismith. He takes it past Boateng and then past Howedes but his shot shaves the post and just goes wide!

Germany back in control of this game and Durm almost plays in Schurrle but his first touch is poor and Hanley can clear.

And we're back underway! Can the Scots turn it around in the second half?

And that is half time! Germany one up so far!

Naismith challenges and wins the header against Boateng. Then Mulgrew follows up and puts Anya in behind Rudy. He gets a shot off on his left foot but can't get the power to trouble Neuer and he saves easily.

Germany starting to turn the screw a bit here. Lots of possession in dangerous areas.

OFF THE LINE! Schurrle gets to the byline in behind the defence. He plays it into the near post where Reus flicks the ball towards the goal. Marshall scrambles across to the other post where the ball was about to trickle in but is able to get a hand there to push it away.

Germany corner as Gotze gets to the byline. Schurrle is over to take but Naismith is at the near post to clear.

Kramer switches to Schurrle on the left side of the penalty area. He comes inside on his right foot and tries to bend one top corner but it was always going over from the moment it left his foot.

Germany break with Muller on the right wing. He tries to cross from the right to the far post but Schurrle had made a run to the near post and Scotland are able to clear.

The ball bounces as Marshall clears long and Anya almost gets in behind but Boateng does enough to put him off but Scotland retain the ball.

Very slow possession at the moment. Having a breather of some kind they must be. Neuer decides to get it long though and Scotland clear.

Germany back in possession and enjoying the ball in midfield. Scotland not getting close to them at the moment.

Germany with a corner which Kroos is over to take. He doesn't clear the first man though and Scotland clear.

Cynical foul from Whittaker as Reus almost gets in behind but the full back just leans on him. Germany with a free kick wide on the right.

Naismith flicks the ball on to anya but Rudy does well to get back and clear before the winger can get in behind.

Scotland apply the squeeze high up but Fletcher jumps into Durm as they contest a high ball and Germany can clear their lines.

Scotland can't clear and almost gift Germany a goal! First Kramer gets in behind but his low cross finds Mulgrew. He then doesn't clear as Martin gets in his way and the ball ricochets backwards but Schurrle is called offside. Chaos.

Naismith robs Kroos of the ball in the middle. Hutton then tries to find the striker in behind but Boateng is there again to clear.
