Poland are now launching balls forward in search of an equaliser, but Scotland have everyone back inside their own half and are repelling every pass that is lumped on top of them.

There's a strange atmosphere inside Hampden Park. Scotland are on course to get the result they targeted before kick-off, but with Republic of Ireland winning it's very subdued.

GREAT CHANCE FOR A POLISH EQUALISER! Piszczek clips an excellent cross into the box to find the run of Grosicki, but the Poland attacker can only head over the bar unmarked.

Scotland need to do a better job of keeping the ball in the final third of the pitch. Steven Fletcher is trying his best, but with three defenders on top of him he is being crowded out.

However, while every Scotland fan is now affording at least one eye to the Republic of Ireland v Germany game, the home side at Hampden still need to stay focussed on beating Poland!

If Scotland do indeed fail to make it to Euro 2016 they will look back at the defeat to Georgia as the result that cost them. That was the game that gave Ireland the momentum.

All of a sudden Hampden Park almost feels slightly distracted. I think everyone has their ear to the radio commentary of the game happening in Dublin between Republic of Ireland and Germany.

Poland are enjoying most of the possession at the moment, but Scotland are actually looking relatively firm at the back. Lewandowski is being kept quiet for the time being.

There's been a goal in Dublin... and it's fallen to Republic of Ireland. Unbelievable scenes! Shane Long has scored and as things stand this result might not matter for Scotland.

Darren Fletcher didn't have his best game in a Scotland shirt, but he didn't have the support in this system to make any real impression. Can McArthur do a better job to see the match out?
