Hello and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of Republic of Ireland's Group D European qualifier against Denmark. Mick McCarthy marked the start of his second spell in charge of Ireland with two victories from two - against Gibraltar and Georgia respectively - and although goals have been hard to come by, scoring just once in each game, it proved enough to see them top of the group. Denmark represent their first real test, however, and having been thrashed by the Danes in a World Cup play-off last year, McCarthy's side will be out to exact some revenge.

Where are Ireland's goals going to come from? Martin O'Neill's tenure ended after four consecutive games without scoring, while McCarthy started his second spell with two laboured 1-0 victories over lesser nations. It looks all the more concerning when you consider that Ireland managed just four goals across nine matches in 2018.
