North Macedonia work a clever free-kick to Trajkovski whose cross into the six-yard box is dealt with.

Ashkovski tries to lead a North Macedonia counter attack but is fouled by Henderson and the visiting player now requires treatment.

Saka comes in off the left and tries to play a one-two with Rashford. However, the return pass is cut out.

Stones is left unmarked from Shaw's corner delivery and he ought to do better as he heads over the bar.

He should have hit the target, at least.

Macedonia try and fail to play out from the back as they lose the ball to Henderson's press and the Liverpool midfielder forces a corner.

Henderson controls and squeezes a ball through to Rashford on the overlap. He takes a touch too many, however, as he's crowded out on the left byline.

A promising attacking move from Macedonia sees Ashkovski released on the right. Maguire, however, stands firm and makes an inch-perfect tackle to stop him in his tracks.

The visitors look nervy and a wayward pass that goes out for a throw won't do much for morale.

From the throw, Saka is allowed to turn and get his shot away, but it's held by goalkeeper Dimitriveski.

Alexander-Arnold takes kick-off and the action gets underway at Old Trafford.

Meaning kick-off is very close.

Gerrard has been talking about using Alexander-Arnold in midfield in 'the bigger games'.

"I think he has done on certain occasions for Liverpool. I think he is still inexperienced in this position.

'If he keeps putting in performances like he did on Friday, he will gain confidence."

The Three Lions have won 11 of their 17 games at the home of Manchester United, although haven’t won either of their last two (D1 L1), one of which was against North Macedonia in October 2006.

Former England midfielder Steven Gerrard, who is on duty for Channel 4, has been talking up Southgate's side ahead of kick-off.

North Macedonia are unbeaten in their two previous away fixtures against England. The last such meeting between the sides came here, at Old Trafford, when the pair drew 0-0 in a qualifier ahead of EURO 2008 back in October 2006.

Manager Blagoja Milevski feels his side will need a "miracle" to get a result tonight.

"We are such a team that we need to make a miracle - any nervousness we have before the match, we are going to forget on the pitch," Milevski said.

"Individually or as a team, they are one of the best, have the best players in the world and showed their quality a few days ago.

"On an international level and at club level, if we are talking about English football, it is the best in the world and it will be a great pleasure to play against them."

England have also defeated Italy and Ukraine in Group C and victory tonight would make it four wins from four.

Win tonight and The Three Lions could potentially secure qualification to Germany next year in September.

Gareth Southgate makes three changes with Manchester City duo Kyle Walker and John Stones coming into defence, replacing Kieran Trippier and Marc Guehi.

Marcus Rashford takes the place of James Maddison in a left attacking role, while Trent Alexander-Arnold continues in midfield after his starring role in Malta on Friday.
