After three straight losses Finland found their form by hitting four against Northern Ireland who’s qualifying campaign looks to end with a whimper.

During a largely uneventful first half Finland found their breakthrough in the form of a penalty won by Nikolai Alho, who was scythed down as he looked to chase onto a lose ball.

Pohjanpalo converted the penalty and from here on Finland didn’t look back.

A quick start to the second followed as Daniel Hakans struck early in the early minutes after the restart.

The introduction of Teemu Pukki was the final nail in Northern Ireland’s coffin as he scored the third before setting up the fourth with a wonderful nutmeg.

Michael O’Neill’s men struggled to create any meaningful chances and have now scored only seven goals from their nine qualifying games, picking up just six points in the process.

On the other hand, the Finns will take pride in a comprehensive win on home soil as they looked to build momentum before their Euro 2024 Qualifying play-offs.

We're into the final minutes of the game now as Northern Ireland wait for the final whistle.

The Finnish talisman runs past two defenders before sliding a ball into the box which just misses teammate. This is turning into a night to forget for Northern Ireland.

More Pukki magic who turns provider with a great pass to slip through Robin Lod who pokes the ball home.

Isaac Price replaces Callum Marshall, while Michael Forbes comes on for Trai Hume.

Two more changes for the Finns as it becomes a matter of resting legs now. goalscorerJoel Pohjanpalo is swapped for Lucas Lingman and Penalty winner Nikoai Alho is replaced by Noah Pallas.

Jorden Thompson is replaced by Brodie Spencer.

There is no questioning this Northern Ireland sides effort for their team but a severe lack of potenecy in front of goal has cost them tonight as another shot is blocked.

For the 39th time for his country Pukki finds the back of the net with a great bit of solo play to beat the defender and curl the shot into the top right corner.

Teemu Pukki makes it 3-0 to the hosts.

Two more changes for Finland as Daniel Hakans is replaced by Robert Taylor and Rasmus Schuller is replaced by Robin Lod.

Finland are piling on the pressure and Northern Ireland can't get out their own box at times but they manage to survive a sequence of dangerous crosses.

The substitutions seemed to have slowed the game down and Finland are now having the better of the ball and creating more dangerous situations.

The away side are finding a bit of life and a free kick hoisted into the box is fumbled by Hradecky but the subsequent shot on his vacant goal is blocked.

Another half chance for the away side as George Saville drags his shot from the left hand side of the box wide.
