Good afternoon and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE Europa League matchcast as Chelsea travel to Russia for their quarter-final second-leg with Rubin Kazan. Team news will follow very shortly!

Rubin have started the second half brightly in that they are making a go of it. Chelsea however have seven to eight men behind the ball at all times.

Torres gets an arm in the face. Good thing he's wearing that mask.

Rubin have made a change, bringing full-back Kaleshin into the fray. Kuzmin makes way.

Half-time and Chelsea lead 1-0 on the night, 4-1 on aggregate.

GREAT SAVE CECH! Karadeniz and Natcho combined beautifully, the latter sending the former past the wooden Terry, the finish was good but Cech got a hand on it and Azpilicueta raced across to hack the loose ball clear!

Torres on the run now and he almost gets past Marcano but for a fine toe-away by the defender.

Orbaiz and Natcho almost combine on the edge of the box but Ferreira is able to play it clear.

Chelsea now have a half-chance as Torres feeds Lampard, who backheels it to Ramires but is offside on the return ball.

Ansaldi is in down the left but the flag goes up - looked close, Kasaev was probably offside but he may have been level.

Good defending by Luiz to intercept and bring it clear like Beckenbauer in his pomp.

Ferreira goes on a run but he gives it away to Marchano and Rubin, who appear to have recovered from the shock of that early goal, come forward.

A better spell for the hosts now but it culminates in a weak header from Kasaev, easy for Cech.

Ansaldi on the left, he takes on Benayoun but hits a wild cross into touch.

It breathes! A good run by Kasaev allows Eremenko to ping a low drive on goal, too close to Cech but it's a shot on target!

An almost promising Rubin move breaks down as Eremenko plays a poor pass into the arms of Cech.

Lovely crossfield pass from Lampard to Moses, who skins the right-back like a chicken but underhits his cross.

Chelsea now passing it around at the back as they look to wind down the half.

Karadeniz with a decent ball from wide right but Rondon - after a good take on the chest - lazily spoons the shot miles wide.

Chelsea are now being forced into taking the initiative with Rubin seemingly reluctant to do so despite chasing the game.

Benayoun can release Torres here but the through ball is a tiny bit too close to the defender Marcano and the danger is gone.
