Viktor Goncharenko: "There is no such thing as an impossible task. If you want to talk about the big tasks that we are working towards, then we want to play attractive football and win. I think Kuban have good players and we can do what we have set out to do."

Michael Laudrup: “We are top of the group and want to win for lots of reasons as nine points gives us one foot in the knockout stages. We have two difficult away games to go in Russia then Switzerland so this is a key game for us. We’re at home, we’ll be favourites and we’re top of the group and want to win. Getting to nine points will give us one foot – maybe one and a half feet – in the knockout stage. I think 10 points should be enough to get us through, but we might need 11.”

Kuban are under new management with Viktor Goncharenko replacing Dorinel Munteanu last week. Charles Kabore and Alexei Kozlov both start after being considered doubtful earlier.

A pretty strong Swansea side then, with the main change the return of Tremmel in goal. Ashley Williams and Ben Davies are injured, so Neil Taylor and Amat play in defence. Jose Canas and Jonjo Shelvey return in place of Britton and De Guzman, while Pozuelo is in for Routledge.
