That really could have been a second if not for the intervention of Lloris. 2-0 down would have been a disaster for Tottenham.

Sardinero again shows pace as he bombs past Davies, but Lloris is quickly out to block, then Dier clears.

Bebe closes down Naughton and wins the ball, then Gikiewicz is able to get clear of Naughton but heads over from close range.

Davies makes a tackle on the goalscorer Sardinero when Limassol were 3 on 3. The referee de Sousa waves play on though.

Bentaleb finds Paulinho, then Townsend gets the ball but he is unable to get a shot on goal.

GOAL: Limassol 1-0 Tottenham. Sardinero runs straight through the Tottenham defence and tidily finishes past Lloris. Davies looks furiously at Paulinho and wonders how the Limassol player won the ball in midfield.
