Dynamo Kiev - Everton live updates

Dynamo have won only four of their 23 encounters with English sides. They have lost just one of their last six home games, however, recording three wins during that run.

Roberto Martínez, Everton manager: "We know it will be a very difficult match. Of course we respect Dynamo, they are a strong team who haven't lost at home [in any competition] this season. But we are ready for them as we are other big clubs in Europe. We haven't come here for a draw – we're proud to represent England in Europe."

There are four changes to the Toffees line-up as Barkley, Barry, Atsu and Naismith are recalled. It’s an attacking line-up from Roberto Martinez, suggesting he’s going to go for that vital away goal that could seal the tie.

The sides met for the first time in UEFA competition on 12 March, Everton recovering from conceding an Oleh Gusev goal to win 2-1. Steven Naismith and Romelu Lukaku got the goals.

Serhiy Rebrov, Dynamo Kyiv coach (via uefa.com): "Obviously we will have to play differently. We have to consider the mistakes we made in Liverpool. We have to play more aggressively, more confidently. Our task is to win and qualify for the next round. Romelu Lukaku is a key player, but we can't focus only on him. Leighton Baines, who has returned, is important; Luke Garbutt's free-kicks are very dangerous … there are many good players at Everton."

The ramifications for tonight’s game are simple. A draw will do for Everton but a 1-0 win would see Dynamo through on away goals.
