The striker not only helped himself to a hat trick but also inspired a new song from the White Hart Lane faithful after a howler in a cameo between the sticks. Erik Lamela also deserves praise for a brilliant display and a goal that will last long in the memories of Spurs fans.

FULL TIME: TOTTENHAM 5-1 ASTERAS TRIPOLIS. Harry Kane is the master ceremonies at White Hart Lane tonight after a sublime hat-trick that is almost ecplipsed by a world class goal from Erik Lamela. Hugo Lloris saw red late on and the England Under-21's efforts were confounded by a clanger as he dropped Jerónimo Barrales resulting free-kick in his own net in an entertaining game at White Hart Lane.

COMEDY GOAL! What a howler from Kane as he drops the resultant free-kick in the back of the net! It was a soft finish from Barrales who slotted it into the bottom corner via Kane's slippery palms.

LLORIS IS SENT OFF! The Frenchman is off his line but he clatters into Parra and the referee gives him a straight red. As Spurs have used all of their subs Harry Kane has gone in goal for the final few minutes! Brilliant scenes here at White Hart Lane!

The home support may not have turned up in full force tonight but they have sung until the end as they have seen encouraging signs here in the cold night air of North London. But Spurs still look a little suspect at the back as they have been caught napping on more than one occasion.
