Having faced the wrath of the Blues supporters in that dismal 2-0 home defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup, Maurizio Sarri will be desperate for his side to protect their 2-1 lead from the first-leg and claim their place in the last-16. The Italian has stressed his side need to win three or four consecutive games, and with the Carabao Cup final with Manchester City to play on Sunday, followed by a Premier League clash with Tottenham just three days later, there would be no better time for Chelsea to find some form.

Willian is pulling the strings for Chelsea at the moment. He finds Emerson on the overlap but his dangerous cross is hacked clear at the near post. Chelsea have Malmo pinned back.

Willian is fouled on the flank, as Chelsea begin to move up the gears. The Brazilian's deep cross finds Giroud at the byline but he can't pick out a team mate with his knock-down.

CHANCE! Chelsea play a well-worked corner, with Willian exchanging passes with Hudson-Odoi before drilling a low cross to the near post. Azpilicueta attacks it but Dahlin does brilliantly to save with his feet.

Give him the ball and watch what he does! With blistering pace, Hudson-Odoi runs down the flank and draws the foul from Safari, who picks up Malmo's first yellow card.

Giroud sees his shot well blocked by Safari. And then Malmo break forward with pace, but the move collapses thanks to a cynical foul in midfield by Barkley. He's booked.

Malmo need to chase the game and they have already underlined their attacking intent in the first 15 minutes. Chelsea have been too passive in the early stages.

CLOSE! Malmo should be ahead! Hudson-Odoi takes a poor touch on the edge of the penalty area and the visitors pounce. Rosenberg, formerly of West Brom, takes aim from the edge of the box but his shot drifts just wide of Caballero's post.

WIDE! Decent move from Chelsea, this. Hudson-Odoi gets bums off seats, running at the retreating defence, he spreads it to Kante whose cross finds Giroud, but he can't direct his header on target.

Kovacic misplaces a pass, gifting Antonsson possession. That won't do anything to ease Chelsea's nerves. But Kante - of course it is - races back to make a rescuing tackle.

Azipilicueta commits another needless foul in midfield - Chelsea haven't started particularly well.
