GOAL! Basel are on the scoresheet. Ricky van Wolfswinkel netted from close range. A feel-good story for the Swiss side at least after his long battle to get back on the park.

GOAL! Basel have given up defending, a lovely run and carry Tete before a clever pass across his body for Dodo and he slammed the ball inside the far post.

A nice looking free kick from Campo from all of 35 yards out but it sails high over the bar.

Triple substitution for Shakhtar: Maycon, Fernando and Tete come on for Marcos Antonio, Taison and Junior Moraes.

Basel with all the possession but unable to get a strike at goal. They realise the futility in their task now.

GOAL! Alan Patrick stuttered in his run up before slotting the ball high past Nikolic's left hand.

PENALTY! As Basel were getting organised, Taison raced into the box and was brought down by Marchand.

Triple substitution for Basel: Ademi for Cabral, Wolfswinkel for Stocker and Ramires replaces van der Werff.

Junior Moraes played in Marlos down the right flank and Marlos hits a tired looking cross which is put behind for a corner. Right on cue, Marlos is replaced by Manor Solomon.

Another brief look at a penalty for a handball after Cabral attempted an audacious overhead kick. Nothing doing once more.

That was the chance. Cabral got the ball just outside the penalty area and Shakhtar keeper Pyatov for reasons known best to himself came to the edge of the box and as he retreated the Braziian tried to chip him but it flew wide of the target.

Shakhtar sprung into action. Their danger man Marlos got the ball on the edge of the box and played a short ball to Junior Moraes who tried to pass back to his fellow Ukrainian international when he would have been better shooting at goal.

We're looking at a potential penalty. No one appealed. They are looking at whether Dodo brought down Pululu. What a lifeline this would be for Basel.......not given.

Xhaka's returned to the field, but is again on his back and he limps from the field. He is replaced by Marchand.

Some nice turns by Xhaka in the midfield but he limps off injured at the end of the passage of play and doesn't look like returning.

Little danger from either side so far. You feel Basel need to get Palulu in the game and right on queue he is felled by Alan Patrick who picks up a yellow card

The game is back underway. Can Basel turn the tide.

Completely dominant display from Shakhtar. It is very hard to see Basel getting back into this.
