'A GREAT DEBUT SEASON'
Steve Sidwell says Brighton have impressed during their maiden European campaign, despite defeat in the first knockout round.
"They've had a great debut season," Sidwell told TNT Sports. "The journeys they've been on, the away performances they've had to get by.
"They can walk in with their heads held high. It's been a frustrating night tonight and that's the most disappointing thing, they lost it in the first leg.
"They were probably a bit naive in that tie, but that's inexperience. Hopefully, if they're in Europe next season, they can learn from it."

BRIGHTON ELIMINATED FROM EUROPA LEAGUE AS ROMA PROGRESS
AS Roma progressed to the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals despite a 1-0 defeat to Brighton on Thursday.
Danny Welbeck scored the only goal of the game for The Seagulls on the south coast, as Daniele De Rossi’s side advanced 4-1 on aggregate following their dominant first-leg display.
Roma were unfortunate not to take a five-goal aggregate lead when Sardar Azmoun’s emphatic effort was ruled out. With his back to goal, the striker brilliantly hooked the ball over the head of Bart Verbruggen, but it was ruled out for a high boot.
Soon after, Brighton raced down the left flank through Danny Welbeck, who played a one-two with Pervis Estupinan before firing an effort into the top right corner to break the deadlock in style and give the hosts hope of a stunning fightback.
However, similarly to the first leg in Rome, Brighton were not clinical enough in front of goal as the visitors held on to reach the last eight.

AND THE WAIT GOES ON...
In UEFA Europa League history, no side has ever overturned a four-goal deficit from the first leg of a two-legged knockout tie to progress.

And it looks as though it will be Roma in tomorrow's draw.

IT'S ALL GONE A BIT FLAT
It's almost as if these Brighton fans know this tie is over.
They really needed to have scored at least one goal by now in the second half if they were to stand a chance of equalising on aggregate, but it just doesn't look as if it's going to happen for them.
They've had plenty of chances across the two legs...

TIME RUNNING OUT FOR BRIGHTON
We might have only just ticked over the hour mark, but Brighton need three goals without reply just to take this into extra time.
The heavens have opened on the South Coast as well to make the conditions even trickier.

HUGE SAVE TO DENY ADINGRA!
Gross whips in a delightful cross from the left and Adingra gets a good connection on it from close range, but Svilar reacts excellently to beat it away! A big, big chance!
