John rants: "Glen Johnson Doing nothing, Rooney running doing nothing, England passting @#$% and getting nowhere, what are they doing, no exitment or openings rubbish so far. The comintators want to shut up, have no idea." Let's not panic just yet. Spain won the World Cup on the back of patient 1-0 wins and England are clearly on top here...

But you're right, Steve, Rooney hasn't done much.

Novakovic has stayed down after a challenge with Ferdinand. It looked innocuous but two physios trot out to administer treatment.

Johnson goes for goal! It fizzes a couple of feet wide, and Bozovic makes it look even better with a Hollywood dive several yards away.

Half an hour gone, and after a lively opening 10 minutes England have been frustrated and are starting to show it. Not yet as bad as the Algeria game, but it might be heading that way.

Worst cross of all time from the left foot of Glen Johnson. Though somehow England get a throw out of it...

Johnson cuts inside Jovanovic but Boskovic brings him down. Montenegro doing what they have to, trying to stop England's flow.

Montenegro are dropping deeper and deeper, testing England's patience. Which, as we know, is not great.

Ashley Young curls towards the far post... evades everyone and goes a couple of yards wide.

That was a crass bodycheck from Dzudovic - obvious booking and Young stands over the free-kick.

Montenegro bring it into England territory, give it away and this is a chance to exploit some space... Young brought down cynically by Dzudovic right on the edge of the box. Yellow card.

Ferdinand finds Young on the left, who plays it to the overlapping Cole. He crosses low from the left but straight at Bozovic, who fumbles but gathers the ball at the second attempt.

Rooney runs at Basa but makes it much too easy for the centre-back to dispossess him.

Early Doors tweets: 'Feels like there are more fans here than Bulgaria game, but not making as much noise. Except the band, of course. They always make 'noise'.'

A few padded posh seats are unfilled, but otherwise it's pretty close to a full house here.

I don't want to get too down on the England band, as they're at least being enthusiastic. But wouldn't you rather listen to 90,000 vuvuzelas than the 8,000th rendition of Self-Preservation Society.

England starting to dominate here. Looking slick and unusually polished. That's not to say it will result in any goals...
