Obita got a little knock but he is okay now and back on the pitch.

Obita – on loan from Reading – has got the goal superb run from him to get on to the cross from Croft– he is only 19 – can Oldham shock the other Merseyside giant?

GOAL FOR OLDHAM!!! A stunning and quick counter attack move and Jordan Obita has put them in front. An Everton corner broke down and Lee Croft raced clear. Leon Osman got too close to him and fell to the ground allowing Croft go clear. He then put in a perfect low cross and Obita was there to side-foot home.

Baines with the attempt it clips a head in the wall and goes out for a corner.

Bouzanis makes a hash of a free-kick and Osman can run to near the D before he gets fouled. Very central and this one is in Baines and Gibson territory.

Very good defensive work from Grounds who steps up and gets to the ball ahead of Jelavic.

Distin misjudges a ball into the box and it nearly falls for Bernard but just too much on it.

Jelavic is found just on the edge of the box by Pienaar but the ball gets stuck under the feet of the out-of-form Croat striker.

Free is knocked out to Neville who crosses from a better angle but it goes straight into the arms of Bouzanis.

Osman fouled 35 yards out in a central position. Probably just a little too far out for Baines – expect a ball into the box.

Not a perfect pitch but nothing that should cause Everton too many problems if they want to try and pass it.

Scrappy start to the match – the ball spending a lot of time down the Everton left. Oldham looking to launch long balls.

The last time the sides met, Oldham left Goodison Park with 1-0 win in the FA Cup third round in 2008.

Bouzanis slides out of his goal and gathers the ball when it looked for a moment like Jelavic might get through.

Everton typically around 1/3 favourites with the bookmakers. Oldham are available at as a big as 10/1 while the draw is 5/1.

Nikica Jelavic is back in the team. David Moyes spoke of him in the build-up saying: "I don’t know what it does for anybody but you hope that they sit back and look at exactly what they have to do to get back into the team and get their real form back. It’s part of football. Hopefully when he gets his opportunity he will be ready to take it. Maybe a little bit of a rest at times can help.”

Tony Philliskirk: “If there is any pressure on Jose (Baxter, formerly of Everton), it will only be that which he puts on himself. There is none from us. When I have been involved with the first team over the last few weeks, I have told him to go out and express himself, to show people what a good player he is. He has trained like a Trojan this week and is potentially a very good player, but one who needs a little push every now and again.”

Oldham have changed their manager since that fourth round win, of course. Paul Dickov paid the price for the club's woeful league form and has been replaced by caretaker Tony Philliskirk. The new man presided over a 3-1 win aganist MK Dons last Saturday, their first League One win since December 8.
