Billy Davies' pre-match views in the tunnel: "It's all about consistency. We are playing very well and the message to the players is quite simple: 'Keep trying to win games.' Four defeats in 24 matches shows this group has been excellent... It doesn't matter (how weak West Ham are). Every single game in the cup is difficult. It doesn't matter whose name is on the teamsheet. We need to do our job right and approach the game in the right way."

STAT: West Ham have won seven of the last nine meetings between the sides. Forest haven’t beaten the Hammers in the cup since the 1991 semi-final at Villa Park, which they won 4-0.

Forest striker Simon Cox: "We are very much looking forward to it. It is a chance for the players to test themselves against Premier League opposition. The players who might not have played a lot of football recently could get a chance. It is going to be a tough task but, if we get to the promised land of the Premier League next season then we will be going up against this sort of team every week."

Sam Allardyce: "My point of view is that it is not a pressure game. We have only 14 players available so the U21s and the youngsters will be tested. At the end of the day, everybody outside the game and inside the game says, 'when are you going to start playing your youngsters?' Then if I play them people say 'Oh, you're undermining the FA Cup'. We had a few digs about that when we played Tottenham in the Capital One Cup, and we won. My job is to put the best team out based on our situation."

Meanwhile, Billy Davies has made just two changes to the team that drew at Reading. Guy Moussi and Djamel Abdoun replace Nathaniel Chalobaha and Jamie Mackie.
