FA Cup fifth round, The Den - Millwall 1 (Cummings 90) Leicester City 0
Millwall caused a huge FA Cup fifth-round upset as they beat Premier League champions Leicester City 1-0 despite having a man sent off at The Den.
Defender Jake Cooper was dismissed for the League One club but it did not prevent the hosts from recording a famous victory over Claudio Ranieri's side.
Shaun Cummings grabbed the game's only goal in the 90th minute as Leicester's miserable season took yet another turn for the worse.
With Leicester lying in a lowly 17th place in the Premier League table, just one point out of the relegation zone, it was another dismal result for the club who shocked the football world last season in spectacular fashion.
Ranieri's side have suffered an astonishing five defeats on the bounce in the league and their appalling form carried into the FA Cup as Millwall were able to claim a memorable win against the odds with 10 men.
It is not clear where Ranieri goes from here, but he can at least point to the fact that he did not play a particularly strong XI for the match with Riyad Mahrez left as an unused substitute and Jamie Vardy only afforded 17 minutes on the pitch.
With a tough clash against Liverpool up next in the Premier League, the Foxes must quickly find a turnaround in form if they are to pull away from the relegation battle they are already in while still hoping to progress from the Champions League last-16 stage.
For Millwall, the stunning win provides a valuable boost for the club, who are still very much in the promotion hunt in League One, just one place out of the play-off spots with a game in hand.
