Barcelona defender Gerard Pique says the negative reception given to him by Spain supporters "doesn't affect" him.
Pique was widely booed and whistled by Spain supporters after replacing Sergio Ramos in the second half of Thursday night's international friendly with Costa Rica.
The defender has been lambasted by Real Madrid fans, who make up a large contingent of the Spanish support, after thanking the man who sung at Cristiano Ronaldo's birthday party for his role in the club's success.
Colombian pop star Kevin Roldan performed at the event for the 30-year-old just hours after Real Madrid's 4-0 derby defeat to Atletico Madrid in February.
"Thanks to all and thanks to Kevin Roldan,” said Pique, “it all started with you."
Former Manchester United defender Pique was interviewed in the mixed zone after the friendly match and responded to a question about the boos with a rather brilliant answer.
‘It doesn’t affect me. I’ve just won the Treble!’
