Hello and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of the Euro 2020 warm-up match between France and Wales. Les Bleus are amongst the tournament's favourites and will be hoping to keep momentum up having breezed through qualification. This is good preparation for Wales - led by Robert Page in the absence of Ryan Giggs - who have Italy, Switzerland and Turkey in their group, so it will be interesting to see how they cope with the reigning World Cup champions tonight. We will have all the build-up to the match before the drama begins to unfold at 20:05.

What a save! Rodon clears from the resulting corner, but France recycle the ball and Griezmann delivers a cross from the left, Pogba attacks it with a bullet header and somehow Ward keeps it out! Benzema's rebound strikes the arm of Williams and France are appealing for a penalty... and it's going to VAR.

Bale is back to fulfil his defensive duties, heading Griezmann's cross behind for a corner.

Rodon gets dragged out onto the flank to deal with Mbappe and the PSG star skips away from him easily before digging out a cross. But Gunter had read the situation and made the move inside and he's well positioned to head behind for a corner.

There are few things more frightening in football than Mbappe running at you but Roberts keeps his eye on the ball, gets his body between man and ball and shields it out of play, winning a free-kick in the process.

Wilson carves inside, creating the space to get a left-footed shot away from the edge of the box but it's a wild effort, well over the bar.

It has been a thoroughly entertaining start to proceedings, which is rather unusual for a friendly match. But there are still places up for grabs and perhaps it should be no surprise that players are trying to make an impression.

A talented group.

Pogba tries to switch the ball from left to right but gets too much contact and Pavard can't keep it in.

Bale runs into trouble, losing the ball to Hernandez before throwing himself to the ground. It didn't look like a foul and the Portuguese referee agrees.

Kimpembe is in position once again to clear James' left-wing cross. Pogba then gets in the way of a weak shot. Decent start from Wales, this.

Shot! Action down at the other end now as Wales break and James' rapid pace causes France all kind of problems. With no support, the Manchester United wideman goes for goal from a tight angle and Lloris keeps it out comfortably enough before Kimpembe clears before Allen arrives.

Save! Ward is forced into his first save of the night, getting down to parry Benzema's bullet header clear from Pogba's cross from the right.

France start on the front foot immediately as the ball is worked to Hernandez on the left flank but his cross is headed away by Rodon.

Kick-off! A handshake between Lloris and Bale, the coin is tossed and it's France who get the game underway after the players take the knee. There are no fans in attendance tonight unfortunately.

The last thing Wales need is to be on the receiving end of a heavy defeat just a week before the tournament starts. But boy do they have their work cut out for them tonight. The inclusion of Joe Allen is a huge boost as he plays his first game for club or country since the World Cup qualifier against Belgium back in March.

Did you know? This is only France's fourth match at the Allianz Riviera in Nice - they are unbeaten in their previous three games at the stadium (W2 D1), all friendlies between 2014 and 2018.

Opta stat: Wales have won just one of their five previous meetings with France (D1 L3), beating Les Bleus 1-0 in Toulouse in 1982 with Ian Rush scoring the winner. All previous meetings have been friendlies.
