Harry Kane gave a reminder of his importance to Tottenham as he netted four goals in a friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk. Spurs boss Ante Postecoglou said afterwards that Kane is "certainly invested" in the club as doubts continue over his future and if he will sign for Bayern Munich. Manchester United drew 1-1 with Athletic Bilbao as Harry Maguire provided an assist after an error for a goal.

Bayern's Tuchel "looking for a number nine" as Kane rumours swirl

Harry Kane scored four times as Tottenham beat Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1 in their final pre-season friendly.
Kane captained Spurs as Ante Postecoglou took charge of the team for the first time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Kane’s future at the club remains up in the air, with one year left on his contract and Bayern Munich seemingly keen on signing him.
Postecoglou was given a clear reminder of Kane’s importance as he netted four goals against Shakhtar before being taken off to chants of 'we want you to stay'.
“You saw today that Harry certainly is invested in what we're doing and we'll keep on doing that unless something changes,” said Postecoglou.
“There's no doubt that I would use Harry, I don't need today to tell me that.
“He's a fantastic striker, one of the world's best. I think the way the team plays will help him as well. He loves scoring goals and you saw today we created a load of chances and he was the beneficiary of that.
Asked how he would deal with replacing a player of Kane’s quality, Postecoglou said: “I'll deal with that when the time comes, you know?
“I've always had these contingencies in my head anyway, whether it's Harry or anyone else, there's no guarantee about anybody. There's all sorts of things that can happen that affect your planning.
“I'm not going to spend a lot of time or energy thinking about something that may not happen because, again, I don't have that luxury.
“It'd be different maybe if it was my third or fourth year at the club, if we'd already established the way we play, established the squad and that was my major issue or only issue then maybe I'd be a little bit more obsessive about it.
“But right now, I'm trying to build a style of game, a squad of players, different training, there's so many things that are really important that I can't be distracted by one or two other things.”
Spurs start their Premier League campaign at Brentford on August 13.
Kane opened the scoring against Shakhtar from the penalty spot after a foul on James Maddison.
Maddison then set up Kane’s second with a cross that was headed in.
Dejan Kulusevski was the provider for the hat-trick goal before Kane added his fourth after Manor Solomon's shot was parried out.
Manchester United ended their pre-season campaign with a 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao in Dublin.
Nico Williams gave Bilbao the lead when he slotted home after Harry Maguire's misplaced pass led to an attack.
Bilbao were reduced to 10 men in the second half when Aitor Paredes was sent off, and Facundo Pellistri equalised late on after an assist from Maguire.
United play Wolves in their Premier League opener on Monday, August 14.
