Ahead of Sunday’s showdown, Ticketbis.net have produced a stat-filled guide to the Capital One Cup final, including a mixture of club and tournament specific statistics - and features such as League Cup final heroes, each side’s best League Cup victories against one another and the key players that could determine this season’s final.
Manchester City, who sit fourth in the Premier League at present, go into the final as considerable favourites at 11/10, despite the last meeting between Manuel Pellegrini and Jurgen Klopp’s men ending up in a 4-1 victory for Liverpool in the Premier League earlier this season.
Liverpool’s chances of victory currently sit at 23/10 according to the bookmakers, whilst it’s 5/2 for the game to go into extra time - which is quite a rarity in League Cup final history, with only 18.2% of finals needing extra time or penalties determine the winner.
In his first season at the club Klopp will be looking to become Liverpool’s sixth manager to lift the League Cup trophy, whereas Pellegrini will be aiming to get his hands on it for a second time in his City career before he leaves the club.
