CLOSE! The noise levels have certainly been raised here. Anwar El Ghazi lines up the free-kick, fires for goal, but it just flies over.

Brilliant play from Jack Grealish to hold the ball up, he waited for Targett to make the overlap, snuck the ball to the Villa full-back, who rifled home from a tight angle to score only his second-ever Villa goal. What a time to do it!

GGOOOOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!!! Aston Villa 1-0 Leicester. Would you believe it! After all those Leicester chances, it is Villa who take the lead through Matt Targett!

ANOTHER SAVE! That man Maddison is again denied by Nyland! This time with his left foot, from the edge of the area, which Nyland again tips wide!

WIDE! Leicester are all over Villa here! Ayoze Perez sees one effort blocked, Maddison arrives right on cue, smashes for goal, but the ball flies just wide.

SAVE! Superb stop from Nyland to deny James Maddison. Great play again from Iheanacho to hold the ball up, he lays it off for Maddison in the penalty area, he makes space for the shot, looks to find the bottom corner, but Nyland flings across to tip the ball wide.

SAVE! What a battle that was between Kelechi Iheanacho and Tyrone Mings, with the Leicester striker outmuscling Mings before getting his shot away from the angle, which Orjan Nyland blocked well with his chest.

Crowd are really up for this as Villa have the better of the opening exchanges.
