Shot! Tanganga - restored to Spurs' defence after recovering from an ankle injury - breathes a sigh of relief as he slips and misses Hudson-Odoi's pass to Mount. But his shot is straight at Lloris.

Finally some drive from Chelsea, as Loftus-Cheek races down the right, but his cross is disappointing and straight to a Spurs player. Moments later, Mount shoots from 25 yards - from a similar position to where he scored on Saturday - but this time it's well wide.

Pass, pass, pass from the boys in blue. It's all in the central areas, however. Strange contest.

Not a thing for him to do so far, Chelsea's new 'keeper.

Chelsea have had 75 per cent of the ball so far. No chances of note just yet, though.

Chelsea are dominating possession in the early stages. Tottenham have barely had a touch.

Gareth Bale will soon be dominating your Twitter feed. The camera focused on him a moment ago and he was texting on his phone, not paying any attention to the match.

Werner bends a cross into the middle, searching for Giroud, but there's too much zip on the ball and it's out harmlessly for a goal-kick.

Azpilicueta tries to switch the play with a diagonal ball searching for Werner, who is starting out on the left tonight, but the pass is over his head.

Tottenham are shaping up with a back five. Aurier and Reguilon are operating at wing-back and I'm really looking forward to seeing what the latter could provide. He is a very exciting player going forward.

Weird.

Asked who would play as a striker tonight, Jose simply said: "Nobody". He added the club was trying to "make it happen" in the market.
19:35
Tottenham haven't played a single match in this competition this season, but win tonight and they could find themselves in the quarter-final. Their third round tie was cancelled after Leyton Orient had a number of positive cases for Covid-19, and Spurs were subsequently given a bye.

Here's Frank Lampard: "I think we all know the Carabao Cup, for teams like ourselves and Tottenham that are challenging for the top four and Champions League, the Carabao Cup does have its place but we certainly respect it and every tournament we go in we try to win."
19:25
It's going to be a hectic 48 hours for Tottenham. After tonight, they host Maccabi Haifa in the Europa League play-off, and Mourinho is prioritising Thursday night's match. He said: "I would like to fight for the Carabao (Cup) but I don’t think I can. We have a game on Thursday that gives us not as much money as the Champions League but the group phase of the Europa League gives us a certain amount that, for a club like us, is very important."
19:15
Chelsea got the better of Tottenham when the clubs met in the League Cup final of 2015, too, with Mourinho claiming his first piece of silverware in his second spell in charge of The Blues. John Terry and Diego Costa scored the goals at Wembley.
