SO CLOSE! Malaga come within millimetres of pulling one back. Isco teases a pass in to Baptista who sees his shot well saved by Pinto. The rebound almost trickles over the line but Pique manages to hack it clear.

Barca continuing to dominate possession in the early stages of this half.

Unless Malaga can produce a minor miracle Barca look set to secure that record-equalling 100 point tally and to finish 15 clear of Real Madrid.

Iniesta's audacious pass sends Pedro scurrying clear. The Spaniard delays his pass in wait of support and picks out Fabregas but the ball won't drop for Villa and the visitors just about hack it to safety.

KICK OFF! Barca restart the match.

HALF-TIME: Barca 3-0 Malaga.

Xavi takes it short and Barca build again... Pedro gets in behind the defence with a diagonal run but his cross towards Pique doesn't really give the defender the chance to get an attempt in on goal.

Barca respond and earn a corner of their own on the right.

The corner is fired towards the near post but Pique is there to head clear.

Eliseu battles for possession on the left and wins a corner off Pique.

The crowd seem a bit subdued too. Perhaps Barca have set the bar so high in recent years that just winning the league with a record points haul isn't enough anymore?

There's a real lack of urgency from both sides. Barca are playing in second gear whilst Malaga are toiling.

Xavi whips it in towards Pique who can only nod a free header into the ground and wide of goal. It should have been the fourth.

Another incisive attack down the left ends with Jordi Alba earning another corner.

Joaquin cuts the ball across goal for Baptista but Montoya manages to get a foot in and deflect it to safety.

The corner comes to nothing and Malaga are able to enjoy a brief respite.

Barca open up Malaga again but this time Fabregas can't pick out a teammate and has to settle for a corner.

There is still much to play for in La Liga today with three of four teams still to be decided in the relegation stakes. Real Sociedad and Valenica are still vying for the final Champions League berth too.

It's hard to see a way back into this for Malaga. They look like a team bereft of ideas and any form of defensive unity.
