Simeone will presumably be fuming. Had it not been for a rash decision by Juanfran his side would be top of the league tonight. Instead they are join top with Barcelona, just as they were before this weekend's round of games. The real winners (no pun intended) are Real Madrid, who are now just a point off the top.

FULL TIME: Atletico Madrid 1-1 Sevilla

Atletico win a corner and everyone besides the keeper is up for the delivery but Fazio gets up well to clear and that should be about it.

It hasn't actually been indictaed how many minutes of stoppage time will be played here, but the referee Hernandez is still letting play flow.

Atletico Madrid have a man advantage and come flooding forward. Costa goes down in the box and replays show that Fazio had a wee punch in the stomach of the Brazilian born striker. That was a bit risky!

Moreno is shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge. There was also a booking for another Sevilla player but in the mayhem I couldn't quite see who it was for.

Rodriguez wins a freekick off Reyes, giving Atletico Madrid a good base for another assualt on the Sevilla penalty area, but they decide to pass the ball short instead and keep possession.

Turan wastes a good opportunity to swing a ball into the box, over hitting the cross. That's so unlike him as well. Normally very reliable from there.

Rodriguez is instantly involved with the play as he tries to run at the opposition defenders but Navarro deals with him well and puts the ball out for a throw in. He's a different kind of threat to Sevilla though.

Sevilla are finding it difficult to get their own half now, although they are looking to break on the counter attack.

Beto almost gets caught out, after a cross from the left wing takes a touch off a Sevilla defender, but the keeper backtracks and claims the ball, almost carrying it over his own goalline.

Atletico Madrid are now camped on the edge of the Sevilla box but they're struggling to pick their way through the mass of players on the 18 yard line.

Rakitic is running the show for the visitors in the centre of midfield. And he's just won a freekick to ease the pressure on his team. I'm not surprised he's been linked with a move in this transfer window.
