One minute of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.

This is some nice possession from Getafe, although it should be noted that Barcelona are standing off the away side slightly. If only they had shown some of this earlier in the game.

We want seven! We want seven! Barcelona are pressing forward in search of another goal, but there just isn't the same zip to their play since Xavi went off. Roberto hasn't made much of an impression.

Well that was a bizarre decision from the referee. Suarez wriggles around inside the box and clearly wins a corner off Alexis. But for some reason the goal kick is awarded. Very strange.

Now Bartra has a headed effort on goal, but despite the good direction there wasn't the power in the header. Suarez was straining to get his head on the ball as well, too. Wants a match ball to take home.

Guaita denies Messi the hat-trick! The Barcelona number 10 goes for a chipped effort round the wall, but the Getafe gets across to his far post to make a punching save clear of the target.

Mathieu needed to make that challenge. The defender had fallen asleep for just a second, allowing Lopez to fizz a pass across the box, but Mathieu made a last ditch tackle to concede a corner kick.

The pace of this game has dropped off in the last 15 minutes or so. The pressing game from Barcelona isn't as intense, and the balls are starting to get a bit more direct over the top.

After the first half I thought we might have been on for double figures tonight. Unfortunately, Barcelona have taken their foot off the gas in this second half. Looks like 6-0 might have to do.

Barcelona's standards have slipped - particularly in the centre of midfield - since Xavi came off. There's not as much zip and rythym to their play now, although they're still well on top.

Barcelona want a penalty kick for a tough challenge on Messi, but the referee says no. The Argentine was cleaned out but the defender was adjudged to have won the ball. Probably the right call.

Getafe sub: Pedro Leon OFF, Sergio Escudero ON.

Getafe are still seeing very little of the ball, but Hinestroza has made an impression in the last 10 minutes or so. This time he is forced wide, but the Getafe forward is giving Barca something to think about.

Good stop from Guaita! Messi dribbles past his marker and creates the angle for a shot, but in the end the angle was just too tight and the Getafe keeper can make the stop with his feet at the near post.

Getafe hit the woodwork! Hinestroza gets in between two Barcelona defenders to squeeze a shot away at goal, but with Bravo beaten the ball dribbles towards the line and off the post. Unlucky.

Suarez's feet get in the way just at the wrong moment! Messi dribbles his way through the Getafe defence, with the ball eventually breaking to Suarez - but the striker gets his feet in a muddle and miscontrols.

Indeed, reports in the Catalan press this week suggest that Alves will sign a new contract with Barcelona for next season - despite continued interest from the Premier League... cough Man Utd... cough.
