Xavi attempts to pick out a team mate with a lobbed pass into the penalty area but it can only find a Getafe shirt.

Getafe will be satisfied with their performance so far at the start of this game.

Messi wins the ball for his side in a dangerous area and lays on his strike-partner Suarez but the former Liverpool man blasts the ball well, well over the bar. Suarez is still looking for his first goal in the La Liga.

Lafita collects the ball on the edge of the Barcelona area and appears to be caught by Pique but the referee waves play on, much to the annoyance of the home forward.

10 minutes in and the score remains goalless.

Getafe move the ball into Barcelona's final third for the first time this afternoon but aren't able to keep possession.

Barcelona win a free-kick on the flank but the delivery is won by Lafita in a home shirt.

The visitors have had all of the possession so far as expected but haven't opened the Getafe defence as of yet.

Getafe have been struggling with attendances all season and their stadium is less than half-empty today despite Suarez and co being in town.

The Catalans have scored four or more in five of the last seven meetings between the sides.

A win for Barcelona would move them to 37 points, two behind league leaders Real Madrid. A home victory - don't laugh - could move Getafe into the top 10.

Getafe have only won one of their last five encounters and it doesn't get any easier today as they host an in-form Barcelona side which have won seven out of their last seven games. Neymar misses out with an ankle injury, Rafinha, despite suffering from illness, is named amongst the substitutes while Thomas Vermaelen's nightmare start to his Barcelona career continues as he is now not expected to return from his hamstring injury until April. Otherwise, Barca name a strong squad with Messi and Suarez leading the line.
