Since losing the goal, Atletico Madrid have upped the tempo of their play and pressing game. How many times have we seen them take the lead on the stroke of the break? Can they do it again?

That was an opportunity for Atletico Madrid to take the lead from a Koke freekick delivery into the box, but the Levante backline holds firm with Juanfran (the Levante one) making the clearance.

So Atletico Madrid have hit back with immediate impact. Although Levante must take credit for their own downfall. What was Sissoko thinking of, passing a ball across his own penalty area?

While Atletico Madrid have probably been the better team, they haven't created much in the final third. In that sense, Levante have been more efficient and deserve to be in the lead.

Levante have done really well to send their full-back high up the pitch. That's how that goal came about. Lopez gambled on getting into the penalty area and benefitted from Miranda's mistake.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Levante 1 (32 mins - David Barral) Atletico Madrid 0. Miranda loses his bearings, heading a cross up into the air, allowing Lopez to square for Barral - who has a simple finish from just a few yards out.

In fact, there has been speculation that Atletico Madrid could secure the return of Filipe Luis from Chelsea this summer as part of a part-exchange deal for Diego Godin. Interesting.

Most of Atletico Madrid's attacking play has come down the right side through Juanfran. Simeone's side don't attack nearly as much down the left as they used to last season.

Levante have actually been rather impressive in the last few minutes or so. They have taken control of the ball around the halfway line, with Atletico Madrid sitting deep to absorb the pressure.

That was a sore one for Ramis! Juanfran staged a cross into the penalty area looking for the head of Mandzukic, but the Croatian instead battering his head into that of his Levante counterpart.

Oblak makes the one-handed save! Sissoko clips a cross into Morales, who stoops to direct a header at goal - but his effort is relatively tame and the goalkeeper can make the stop.

Whle Levante were breaking on the counter attack, there was an almighty grapple happening off the ball happening between Barral and Miranda. Both get a talking to from the referee.

Juanfran needed to make that challenge! Levante come flying forward on the break, with Uche playing Morales through on goal, but the defender makes the challenge to prevent him from having the shot.

Up at the other end of the pitch, the cross is too close to Marino. Turan had the chance to find Griezmann with a cross into the box, but the pass was easy for the Levante keeper to collect.

The cross was too close to Oblak! Lopez did really well to skip past Siquiera down the right side and drive a cross into the Atletico Madrid penalty area, but the keeper comes out to gather.

That will go down as a half chance in Levante's book. Koke's corner kick delivery found Miranda inside the penalty area, but the defender's header flashes past the near post. There was no power in it.

Turan does really well to work his way down the right side before slinging a cross into the Levante penalty area, but the cross is cleared by Ramis - who was back to marshal the backline.

This game has yet to really come to life. Both teams are feeling their way into the contest, although I get the feeling Levante will be rather pleased if things stay this way all the way to the end.
