But Simeone has now made the change he hopes will give his side more energy and threat in the final third. Vietto comes on and the Argentine has the ability to make an impression.

The way things are going right now, Atletico Madrid look like the side who are chasing an equaliser. Barcelona are the ones dictating the play and pressing high up the pitch.

GOOD SAVE FROM OBLAK! Atletico Madrid's defence is caught slightly out of position, with Suarez given the chance to shoot from a tight angle, but Oblak makes the stop with his legs.

Messi provided the finishing touch, Suarez provided the assist, but Neymar must also take a fair share of the credit for creating that goal. He did the dirty work out on the right wing.

What is noticeable about the way Barcelona chase games under Enrique is that they play a lot more direct balls than they have done in recent years. They're not afraid to do that. Pep must be fuming.

GOOD TACKLE FROM ROBERTO! Carrasco tries his best to work a way through the Barcelona defence, but before he can get a shot away the fill-in right back makes the challenge.

Would a point suit Atletico Madrid here? They have a terrible record against Barcelona in recent years, and so Simeone might actually regard a draw against them as a decent result.

One, two, three... Messi goes on a trademark run through the Atletico Madrid defence, but in the end he takes a tumble on the edge of the box, with the referee deciding it wasn't a freekick.
