Barcelona fall to a defeat at La Rosaleda. Malaga drew with the Catalans at Camp Nou earlier in the season and they have once again proven to be something of a bogey team for them. Next up for Lucho's men is Juventus in the Champions League. They'll have to be much better than this.

FULL TIME: Malaga 2-0 Barcelona

And it's no less than Malaga deserve. They have been the better team over the piece, with Barcelona vulnerable at the back. Lucho will face some pressing questions after this.

This will be a hugely damaging result for Barcelona. They could have gone joint top with a win here, but instead they will now lose ground on Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Malaga 1 (90 mins - Jony) Barcelona 0. That's the goal that secures the win for Malaga! They were toying with Barcelona as they scored that, with Jony finishing with aplomb after the cut back from Fornals. Great goal by the hopes!

KAMENI MAKES THE SAVE! Suarez got in behind the Malaga backline, but his shot is saved by the Malaga goalkeeper, who simply stood up as long as possible to make the stop.

Recio pulls up with cramp. It's understandable given how hard this Malaga team has worked to keep Barcelona at bay. They've made all three changes though, so he'll be staying on.

Kameni made a couple of excellent saves in the first half, but the Malaga goalkeeper hasn't had that much to deal with on the whole. Barcelona haven't been very productive in front of goal.

This is extremely unlike Barcelona. They are now launching the ball long, looking to play on the flicks ons of Alcacer. I don't think I've ever seen them play like that, even when they're losing late on.

Malaga have done such a good job so far of plugging the gaps at the back, biding their time then making an intervention and hitting out on the rapid counter attack. It's a strategy that has worked so well.

Juancar gets the yellow card for fouling Messi as the Argentine tried to get away from him in the centre circle.

Barcelona might be down to 10 men, but this game still has a pulse, that's for sure. The Catalans are giving this everything they've got. This could be one of the biggest games of their season.

BIG SAVE FROM TER STEGEN! Malaga come flying forward on the counter attack as they have so many times this evening, but Charles' shot is saved by the Barca goalkeeper.

BARCELONA SHOULD HAVE HAD A PENALTY! Roberto is brought down inside the area, but the referee decides that the foul was outside the box. Replays show that it's the wrong call.
77'
This would be a massive blow to Barcelona's title chances. They have little over 10 minutes to find at least one goal to spare theur blushes and ensure they don't lose any ground on Real.

Well, how about this! Replays show that Malaga should be two goals to the good. Penaranda was onside as he rounded Ter Stegen and stuck the ball in the back of the net a few moments ago.
