Monchi is the man credited with turning Sevilla into the club they are today. He somehow manages to keep the club at the top despite losing their best players almost every summer.

Of course, the biggest news at Sevilla over the past two weeks has been the news that Monchi will be leaving as the club's sporting director at the end of the season. They will miss him.

Big questions have been asked of Sampaoli in recent weeks. In the space of about a month he went from being tipped for the Barcelona job to fighting for his current job at Sevilla.

That wasn't in the script. That opening goal after just a minute was supposed to set up Sevilla for a result to get their season back on track, but they have been pegged back already.

Well, that was quite something. Sevilla came into this match on the back of a dismal run of form which saw them thumped at the Camp Nou during the week. What a way to respond!
