Valencia have claimed a huge win over Real Madrid! That could be a massive result in the context of the title race in Spain this season. I imagine there will be a fair few Barcelona players celebrating that win for the home side at the Mestalla. Valencia were devastating in the opening 10 minutes and Real never recovered.

HE SHOULD HAVE SCORED! Ronaldo found the space inside the area about six yards out, but he directed his header wide of the target. The home supporters are opely celebrating that miss!

It's just long ball after long ball from Real Madrid as this match comes to a close. Valencia are holding firm for the moment, but you can the belief that they will get one last chance.

THAT WAS THE CHANCE FOR RAMOS! It was Ramos time, with the defender heading towards goal from a corner kick, but it was actually Bale who got in the way of it.

Four minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the match.

This would be an extremely damaging defeat for Real Madrid. They will still be top with another game in hand to play, but this will open the door just that bit more for Barcelona and Sevilla.

There's a scramble inside the Valencia penalty area! The ball bounces up after a Ronaldo backheel, with a Perez clearance sliced high into the air, but Alves is fouled.

The decision to bring on Vazquez doesn't look to have worked for Real Madrid. They are too lightweight in the middle of the pitch and Valencia are using that to their advantage.
85'
There are some tired Valencia players on that pitch now. They are holding on, but Real Madrid need to be smarter with their attacks. They're simply lumping it long every time.
84'
Time is running out for Real Madrid and they are now looking to completely bypass the midfield, either playing it into the channels or playing it long over the top. Keeping it simple.
83'
Whenever Real Madrid get the ball they are playing it as quickly as they can to Bale. The Welsh winger is the one expected to come up with a bit of magic. No pressure, then.

And that's another really interesting change from Zidane. Vazquez comes on for... Modric. What?

That's an interesting change from Zidane. He has taken off Varane and put on Nacho in his place. There was no sign of an injury.

The Valencia players are now complaining to the referee about what they perceive to be a foul on Munir, and they might have a case. Replays show that it should have been a foul.
77'
ANOTHER PENALTY CLAIM! Munir goes down right on the edge of the penalty area, but the referee decides that there was nothing in it. The home crowd are incensed at the Mestalla!
76'
The introduction of Bale has given Real Madrid more of a threat in the attacking third, but they have conceded some control in the centre of the pitch for it. Valencia coming back into it.
