Lionel Messi has announced the birth of his third son, Ciro.

Messi pulled out of Barcelona’s match against Malaga on Saturday due to unspecified “personal reasons”.

It has now been revealed that his wife Antonella has given birth to a boy named Ciro.

"Welcome Ciro!" he wrote. "Thank God everything went perfectly."

Messi already has two sons, named Thiago and Mateo.
