Ronaldo just can’t get that goal! Now he tries a spectacular scissor-kick at the back post but can’t quite get the connection he needs to find the target.

So unlucky for Ronaldo! Madrid’s all-time record goalscorer makes space with a wonderful trick inside the box and bends one towards the far post, but instead of catching the inside of the upright it cannons back.

A ball comes over the top for Isco. He controls beautifully and turns but another touch takes him in the wrong direction. Ronaldo wants the square pass but Isco tries to beat the keeper and sees a low effort deflect away. Ronaldo isn’t very happy about that.

Isco toys with the Alaves defenders as he wafts his boots over the ball and then tries an audacious shot at goal. He can’t bend it inside the far post from a tight angle though.

Ooh close! Ronaldo cracks a shot against the outside of the post! The keeper had no chance.
