What a match that was. Even when 50% fit, Messi was good enough to drag Barcelona to a point from what was their worst performance of the season. Sevilla were made to rue all those missed chances. They should have been out of sight by the time the Argentine was brough off the bench.

OFF THE POST! Inches away from being a lifeline for Barcelona. Rakitic flicks a header towards goal from a corner kick delivery, beating Rico, but not the post. It bounces away.

He beats one, two, three... creates the shooting chance for himself inside the penalty box, but the angle was too tight by the time he got the effort away. Messi shot is deflected wide.

Of course, these two teams will meet in the final of the Copa del Rey in a few weeks time. Sevilla deserve to be leading. They have been the better team up until this point.

MURIEL SHOT DEFLECTED OVER! Sevilla have a two-on-two opportunity, with Muriel taking aim from just inside the box. But Pique made the block to deflect it behind for a corner.

Messi made a real impact after coming off the bench, but Sevilla seem to have weathered the storm and have a grip of the Argentine. Well, as much of a grip as you can ever have of Messi.

Sevilla replace one former Manchester City player with another. They are so close to seeing this out.

Iniesta comes off and is replaced by Alcacer. Barcelona have thrown on another striker.

Both these teams might have been hoping for a low key affair ahead of next week's Champions League quarter finals. But they have got the complete opposite of that. What a match.

Barcelona make another change, with Paulinho coming off to be replaced by Denis.

This could have been a heavy defeat for Barcelona, but as things stand the scoreline is still 2-0. As long as it stays that way, Barcelona will have a chance to claw things back.
